Weleda Colds Ointment can be used for the relief of respiratory disorders in case of colds accompanied by cough, hoarseness and colds.
The ointment contains a balanced mixture of several essential oils with a warming, mucolytic and decongestant effect on the mucous membranes.
By inhaling the volatile components, the ointment acts on the one hand directly on the respiratory tract and on the other hand on the chest and back by warming the skin.
Using advice:
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor: Children (2 to 11 years): apply a small quantity (the size of a pea) in the morning and in the evening on the chest and on the back, massaging lightly; in case of severe cold, apply the ointment more often (up to max. 4 times a day). Adults and adolescents (from 12 years old): apply a small amount (the size of a hazelnut) in the morning and evening on the chest and on the back, massaging lightly; in case of severe cooling, apply the ointment more often. Before going to bed, it is recommended to apply a slightly thicker layer and then cover the part of the body with a preheated flannel sheet. After use, wash your hands thoroughly.
Please follow the dosage given on the package insert or prescribed by your doctor. If the infant/child's expected improvement does not occur, have him examined by a doctor. Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist if you think that the effectiveness of the medicine is too weak or, on the contrary, too strong.
