  • For all people who spend little time outdoors
Vitamin D3 is produced naturally in the skin under the action of ultraviolet rays. In our latitudes, during the winter months, solar radiation is not strong enough for the body to produce enough vitamin D.

In order to be able to synthesize the vital vitamin D itself for our body, it needs sunlight. In Switzerland, solar intensity and sunshine duration are limited. Especially in winter, when our skin is additionally covered by clothing, the risk of vitamin D deficiency increases. In summer, intensive use of sunscreen can also considerably limit its production by the body. This is why supplementation makes sense all year round.
