Ratanhia is a wild plant from the Peruvian Andes. Its root is rich in active substances: it contains many tannins used to care for and protect the gums.

The health of the gums directly influences the good nutrition, the good implantation and the good behavior of the teeth. The ratanhia tannins have an astringent effect on the oral mucosa: this helps reduce gum irritation and prevent periodontal problems.

To the ratanhia root extracts are added other plant substances such as myrrh, which has a soothing effect on the oral mucosa, and the refreshing essential oils of mint and spearmint.
